The Axanthic is a recessive mutation where the production of red and yellow pigment is dramatically reduced or inhibited. This morph hatches as a silver and black animal and the most extreme examples will carry that dramatic appearance into adulthood while others can develop minimal color change as they mature. This mutation is represented by three predominant lines. The animals in our collection are from the VPI line, which is known for producing animals that consistently maintain that striking black and silver appearance into maturity. We are very excited for the combination opportunities that this morph offers and believe that it is a must have for any enthusiast.
